Every summer I find myself wishing my hair was shorter, as the heat is just too much for long hair. But with a couple of easy updo’s, I make it through just nicely. This easy side bun is perfect for the office, daywear, evenings and those special occasions; and it only takes 5 minutes. Keep it simple for everyday wear, or dress it up for special events, it’s your choice!
I feel that after taking numerous flights around the world for business and leisure, both last minute and planned; I have become pretty savvy in the booking process. But rather than keep my travel tips to myself, I thought I would share them with you.
I did a post back in April about weight loss post-pregnancy, and getting beach ready; so since we are mid-summer I thought I would recap on how my journey is going so far.
Just a quickie to let you know that I am currently working on an online store that I hope will be up and running soon. I will be selling self created artwork downloads, amongst other items; and the first will be available free to all my subscribers, plus those that subscribe thereafter… Just a little peep above into your free download!!
A perfect compliment to almost any outfit!! I have one of these in black which I bought over 2 years ago and I love it; it’s definitely my go-to piece for dressing up and equaly dressing-down super smart outfits. As you may know, I generally giveaway items that I personally have one of and use, or something that I don’t have, but would definitely use or wear. Since summer is here, I thought a nude colour would be better suited, thus why I chose the silver/grey; and of course as expected from Swarovski products, the quality is fantastic!
I usually maintain my own nails, and very rarely get gel since they aren’t that great for your natural nails. But during pregnancy I found that my nails started to break and chip really easily, so I opted for a gel mani; something that I would regret later. Although gel nails look amazing and they last for ages, that is until you need a refill; once removed, they did nothing for my natural nail bed, in fact my nails were worse; and let’s face it, gel is not cheap and they take time to do. So rather than add another layer of gel, I cut my nails down and hit the restart button.
I have a huge love for pinstripes, and always on the lookout for awesome wear that doesn’t cost an entire months salary; but also lasts after wear and washes. So rather than just add this to the fashion section, I thought I would create a new tab ‘doesn’t need to be designer’ for items and full outfits that are fabulous and affordable.
So this week I decided to do huge clean-out of the garage and found an old pair of Zara shoes. They didn’t cost much, but since they were sooo comfortable, I wore them every time a heel moment popped its head up. As you can see from the picture below, they were worn and torn, and not at all eye pleasing; but rather than throw them out, I wanted to see if I could add a little love and care, and make them desirable again.
