PRETTY FABULOUS FAUX NAILS
I usually maintain my own nails, and very rarely get gel since they aren’t that great for your natural nails. But during pregnancy I found that my nails started to break and chip really easily, so I opted for a gel mani; something that I would regret later. Although gel nails look amazing and they last for ages, that is until you need a refill; once removed, they did nothing for my natural nail bed, in fact my nails were worse; and let’s face it, gel is not cheap and they take time to do. So rather than add another layer of gel, I cut my nails down and hit the restart button.
Heading away on vacation, I wanted my nails to look at least presentable, but since it takes a while for your natural nails to grow healthy again, I decided to opt for a cheap and easy at home solution that wouldn’t kill my natural nail and allow them to grow well. Does it exist, and do they look good, in my opinion; yes!
I found these awesome faux nails in CVS, and the vast selection of colours and designs means there is something for everyone. They can be found in over 90 countries worldwide, and offer other items as well as nail solutions! WEBSITE HERE.
So this pack came with both adhesive tabs which were numbered to correlate with the nails, and glue, so you have a choice for adhesion. I used the adhesive pads only which were really easy to apply and remove. A quick mani in a matter of minutes, and you don’t need to wait for them to dry! I used mine for 8 days (swimming everyday), until I removed them, and the awesome thing is that you can reuse them at a later date… Bonus! My natural nails were not affected, and it gave them a little time to grow; to sum it up…. an easy, cheap and super quick way to get a decent looking mani. My only pet-peeve with these, is that it states 24 nails (meaning 2 applications with a couple spare), however I found some that had 3 of the same size and others with only 1; this affected my thumbs only, but the difference was so slight that you couldn’t tell. Maybe I just picked up a bad pack; but It did not deter me, as I stocked up on other colours and designs once I saw the results.
Have you tried these nails, I would love to hear your thoughts and experiences.
